the truest things i have ever said

Isn’t it amazing how much we remember (or how much we don’t?). If it were possible to preserve people’s memories in little jars or tapes or film reels I totally would. They’d be so interesting to watch and sift through. Think about having shelves and shelves of different people’s lives, maybe picking up a film reel of some housewife in the Midwest. Watching her best moments, her worst, everything she wanted to be when she was younger, the hundreds of little things she put in her closets that she wore and used and loved. Being in her psyche and knowing and loving her better than her husband of 40 years.

this isn't why i started this post at all but o well. i was going to say something interesting about being young and hating cynicism and how nobody knows anything about each other.

i am going to abscond (SAT word! definition : to depart secretly) from the house and go sit by the docks in a while.

i hope hunter collapses on itself like a badly baked souffle so that this summer won't have to end so soon

*i reread the entry i wrote last time and now i'm glad i didn't write the original post i had in mind 'cause it would have ended up being the same. i don't have any creativity in me, not even in my pinky toe
