Sup on the Homefront?

-Lol, I feel bad posting without art on hand. SO I DO HAVE SOME...
$10 2 hour paintings [what I can get colored in two hours...]; Anyone want one?
Here are the commissions from this week: FLYIN' GRIFFIN and RACCOON/SKUNK NEW OTP

-Went to the Picasso Exhibition at the Philly Art Museum with Spanish class. LOL we almost got kicked out! Public school discrimination to the max! I was so pissed at the time, cuz one of the guards belittled our 4' 10" teacher right in front of us. The crew going sucked [underclassmen] and I danced to myself instead of talked to people. The exhibit itself introduced me to two new fine arts faves [The Prayer by Jacques Lipschitz and Man with a Lamb by Picasso] but for the most part I sorta can't stand fine art like what's in the Philly museum. It's stuffy, makes no sense to me, has what I think is make believe depth, and maybe I just am not *~cultured~* enough as my teacher told me. Dunno, art is meant to be moving and accessible to everyone in my head, not collecting dust in a gallery with an Englishmen telling me about how the figure cannot go down *~stairs~* it must *~recline~*. Whatever, yo.

-Went to see How To Train Your Pet Dragon! Man, if I ever work for a big studio name [which of course I hope for...] my first pick would be Dreamworks. There's such a 'freeness' in their work that Disney hasn't had in over a decade and a half. Niko worked on the character designs too, which makes me giddy. I'll have fanart of the movie up over the week, yurp. GO SEE THE MOVIE!!

-Going to NYC tomorrow with ginnyseta! Sorta pumped since I haven't been since CNY and have never really gone without a set goal in mind before [ie. Broadway show, exhibition, etc] with my mother in tow.

-ANGRYZ at Stan for trying to act like my father and how CHILL my mother was about it. Asshats. 8|

-No one cares, but two highlights of the week was Mark Gauti of Trickster Art FAVING my Eagle/Cardinal piece on DA. SO COOL AND HUMBLING. And gishkishenh decided to go and tell ASANI [3 piece acapella Plains Cree musical group] about me. I WAS GIDDY UPON HEARING THIS. *flails*
