(no subject)
I haven't updated in a while, so get ready. Lots has happened. My classes are in full swing and are pretty great, I even look foward to a few of them. My french ear is getting better, I don't have to concentrate as hard to comprehend someone who's talking. I've bonded pretty well with my French roommates. They seem to love my friends and my friends in return love them to. I had people over every Wed and that has turned into a big party now, I'm not sure how many people are going to show up this time. Random people I've never met have come up to me, saying "Oh your Nick, I've heard so much about you, I'm coming to your next party. etc,etc,etc". Last time I tried to teach the Canadians beerpong and they had the balls to say I was making stuff up, I was tres insulted. But I was also making cups like crazy, I made 10/12 cups. One day in class we went on a field trip to a vineyard and then to pick apples on L'Ile D'Orleans. It was pretty sweet, we got to taste some of the wines and see the whole process. I joined the FLE (the french program im in) volleyball team, we suck ass but we are improving. Funny side note, we got the official schedule last game, and the coach made our official team name "FLE: Champions On Weed". We all died laughing, our coach is somewhat serious person, I never would have expected it from him. We've lost both games, but after the second one he treated us all to beers at The Pub. The Pub by the way is Laval's Eatery/Bar/Billards Lounge/Dance Club. There are always so many people there, it's quite the place to be.
I believe this brings us to last night, so much has happened I'm sure I've left out many details/events. Last night a bunch of people came over to pregame before we went to a club (yes, a club). I had a beer that was 10.1% alcohol, it tasted like vodka and beer, it was tres intense. afterwards we went to Chez Dagobert. I have been clubbin before, but this was rave style, I'm talking lights, lazers, foam, smoke, everything. This place was crazy. My ears are still ringing. I'm really sore too from jiving for 2 hours. But you know, when in Quebec do as the Romans do.
