As some of you will recall, my camera (a Canon Powershot S1 IS) decided to take a shit around Christmas time. Since then I was looking for an adequate replacement. While looking, I found that the problem with my camera was likely a known issue and one that Canon would repair at no cost regardless of warranty. So, the camera was shipped off, and I recently got a return shipment from Canon. What did I find in the box? Why, a Canon Powershot S5 IS. I guess I can't really complain about the upgrade. Seems they didn't have enough parts to repair the S1 so they decided to replace it with the newer model.
In other news, I recently blew up at my family. Haven't blown up like that in a long while. I know they are trying to help, and I really do appreciate it. However, the constant quibbling over how things are done or getting upset over the fact that the house isn't in perfect order doesn't help. There are so many other things that need to get done. Some that I'm actively working on, some that I'm forced to work on due to legal issues, and some that I really don't want to even begin. I just need my space and time to deal with everything. I know they are concerned about me falling into a depressive state. However, I also believe that I'm in tune with my feelings enough to be aware of where I am emotionally. I know what I need to do to either avoid or deal with the depression should I fail in avoiding it, and I'm working on it.
