The man is truly off his bloody rocker! He's staging a hunger strike and sleeping on the couch to show me that he cares for me because by eating or sleeping in the same bed as me - he will be showing that he can just brush it off. This is a paraphrase of his words.
He wants me to "learn my lesson" about tonight's diapering session and germs. I told him that though I am far from perfect, I did nothing wrong with tonight's "diapering session." I further told him that if he wanted to show me how he cares about me he can get help managing his anger and other issues about his past and present. I reminded him that I am currently seeing a counsellor for my own issues.
