end of the season bliss
I have the funniest fish. I don't remember if I stated his name. For the record his name is Prince Humperdink. You Princess Bride fans will appreciate that one. Anyway he is always fighting himself. This week he has Captain Franklin's fish to fight. However, he still chooses war against himself.
AH! Christmas is over and my immune system cries Uncle! my throat is killing me, buh! I do not have time for that. Too bad I was thinking how I lucked out not getting sick during the Christmas season. I got to sleep for 11 hours straight the day after Christmas.
It was a rough week. I helped a little on kettles with Andrew and learned to play a slight smidge better. I even played a slight bit of trumpet on Thursday b/c he was tired of playing it. That was...blessed music...yes...blessed. Friday, Paul came to play with us. Playing on the proper instrument was a bit easier. I'm determined to get good at this. For Friday, I got andrew to decorate the tuba with green garland and a big red bow! Oh, it was amazing.After calling it a night at 11:30 we wanted to know if this was the $1000 day we goaled. So, we went to the corps to do counting. Needless to say we counted till past one in the morning. But it rocked!!! The total was something like $1448. That's gonna be a hard goal to beat next year. Maybe we'll all have to have lights on our instruments!
