too early!
woman of the house still (mrs. g and the gang all went to washington dc). it's funny, at the end of the day you start tidying up and making things good for the coming day, and yet it almost makes me feel like that's what life will be like when i'm married. i guess it gives me something to look forward to.
so yeah, i haven't seen the very crack of dawn in a long time. nor have i actually eaten a meal this early since the australia tour last year! it was so painful to wake up this morning after getting 3 hours of sleep (saw star wars at midnight). i had to be up this early b/c the water softener is not working properly and some dude is here to fix it.good thing he came a little bit ago or i would have been really peeved for my awakening so early. by the way, i'm slowly becoming canadian, haha. their pronunciatrions are coming out of me involuntary (this is what i get for doing major impressions), and i decided to do breakfast the canadian way: an english muffin with PEANUT BUTTER! jen and karen corrupted me, haha.
about star wars. it was pretty much the spring valley gang. me, dave, dan, deanna, debi, nick and adam and we went to the midnight show. that was a first for me, i'd never seen a premier movie showing. interesting thing about seeing star wars was that i had never seen any of them. someone was supposed to let me borrow them and didn't...cough...dave...cough. so dave gave me the synopsis on the way down. we arrived at the jersey theater at 10 and quickly met a small group of the "diehard fans" (they had been waiting since 4 and were the only ones), funniest thing i had ever seen, they were in costume and had hoity toity light sabers. one kid's broke, sucked for him b/c he paid $100 for his light saber. they let us in around 11 (thank god, it was cold). some random sombrero wearing costumed kid we think was drunk. he was rather obnoxious, and dave and i were plotting ways to take him out.
i almost forgot, i got some pics of the "fun" dressed up people. if the garcia's have a working scanner i'll be sure to scan a few and put them on here. we didn't get home till 4 in the morning.
all in all the movie was pretty good, i would not mind seeing the other 5 now. clearly, i never see movies in order these days...jan made me see lord of the rings 2 before i ever saw the 1st one, so why break tradition now? sunday at nick's we are watching the 4th one, yay.
