Weekend Recap
So, Friday we went to the graduation. I had to take the youngster out early because he wanted to run and make noise. We ended up aoutside the venue running back and forth. It was a good evening anyway, I just spent a big chunk of it in exile.
Saturday we went to the zoo. Breakfast before hand, even though we were an hour late getting there. Then we headed inside. Being accompanied by a volunteer makes it extra nice. We got inside information on when various events were held and we got access to one of the teaching rooms, where we got to pet a number of animals that aren't normally on display. Headed home at about 1, put the kid down for his nap and got some work done. The daughter came by in the afternoon, but she was only there long enough to get the boy up from his nap, then she had to go.
Sunday was pretty productive. I got the cart mostly fixed. I need to buy two new bolts and associated hardware, then I can put the pieces back together. Walls on it are fixed. I started trying to puzzle out the lawn mower, but we may end up replacing it. It'll depend on whether or not I can find a local place with decent prices to fix it. Must check around today. I also made that dinner I was going to make last Thursday. Fortunately, leeks and polish sausage keep. It was good. I added some potatoes because we need to eat them and it stretched them out quite a bit. The dog liked it, though I'm pretty sure M didn't even taste it. (Guess who's share the dog got.)
Tomorrow is the inspection for insurance. I want to get a couple of pad locks tonight for the fences. I've been meaning to do that for awhile and it really needs to happen.
