a general update...
So I just thought that it was about time I put an update in. It HAS been awhile, and I was hounded not too long ago.... So here I am. :)
I'm doing pretty well actually. Work is still work, and it has many ups and many downs. Family drama not withstanding, I really don't have much to complain about. Life has settled into a comfortable routine. We're not hurting for cash and I should be able to save more after refinancing my car and changing my 401k contribution. :) The only real kicker right now is that my subaru is dead (thus my post saturday). I won't go into details as I did it to myself (technically), and it gets me nowhere to be pissed off about it. I should hopefully have it fixed by early next week, and that's all that really matters.
About to buy train tickets to MD for x-mas. The whole family will be there (for better or worse) and I am really looking forward to it. Wish I could take my dogs, but such is life. It'll be my first actual train voyage outside of a subway trip.
I find myself catching up with old friends a bit in the past few weeks. I haven't been good at keeping touch, which is my own damn fault, but it is good to catch up again. Its good but odd at the same time. Maybe its the whole "getting older" thing. Heck, 30 in a year and a half. Ugh. :-/ Or maybe it is longing for times past (or passed?) and companionship that I don't have much of?
Meh, that sounds more depressing than it really is. I just miss my friends. Don't be a stranger damnit! :)
