Random bits of my life....
1.) I have a kick ass guitar linky...
2.) We have a new couch (yet again free thanks to Kaherine's parents). Our other couch is covered in mud due to the dumb dog.
3.) dog is still being a dog. She's cute and can be fun, but still very much a puppy with attitude.
4.) I'm now a "Team Lead" and still have not received compensation for new duties/responsibilities. Despite the downsides to the given changes and lack of compensation, I'm still enjoying my job for the most part. I get deeper into the application/behind the scenes and deal with more interesting issues. But I still have to offload a bunch of my tickets.
5.) New summer tires on the car makes me wish it wasn't raining so much - need to wash the car out completely.
6.) The house is awesome. Period.
7.) Bought a coffee table. Just have to keep the dog from chewing it up/scratching it to death.
8.) Why do I sound so domesticated?
9.) Went to a poker tournament in St. A. last weekend. Finished within the top 25%. Not bad for first time out. Another one this friday? Should be fun. :)
10.) I woke up today after too little sleep, I read for a bit but then had to take the dog out. Slightly miffed at crawling out of bed, the instant I got outside it was worth it. I love it here and really would find it very difficult to be much happier.
11.) This was actually the first weekend Katherine and I have had together in quite some time and it was very nice. We got the table/couch and did some cleaning, etc. Spending time together was very very nice.
12.) Got Unbreakable and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back (2 disc editions both of them) for $15 from wally-world today. :coal:
13.) Despite spending ENTIRELY too much money over the past month or so, I'm still fairly comfortable with what I have in the bank. Hopefully the upcoming pay raise will help keep some more in the bank and will allow for fun toys like a motorcycle.
14.) I was hooked on getting a "new" car...Although I'd love it..Realization has struck that it just isn't practical and I just don't make enough to justify a purchase like that, even offsetting the cost by selling the current car. So motorcycle it is! :-D
I know I don't comment/post much. I miss you all terribly and hope things find you well. Needless to say, what few complaints I have are fairly minor and I'm happy with where my life is and have been this way for quite some time. If you want to come visit, I would more than happily put you on our sofa-bed and let you roam the VT country-side. SPRING IS HERE! :-D
*le sigh* it is the time which is bed. Work in the morning, too much to do with not enough time. Hopefully it'll still be a nice week, at least in terms of weather it should be (varying temps in the 50s for highs).
I'll try and take some pics of the house/stuff soonish.
