It's amazing the disassociations people seem to expect everyone to make or to make for them. Values from actions, beliefs from judgement, actions from consequences. Sometimes it's just for little things, but sometimes we make these fundamentally ridiculous insistances for the most important decisions people face in life. How do you seperate who you are from what you do, and what you do from who you are? Does the lack of intent mitigate responsibility? Do people have a right to ask for such a waiver for themselves and refuse to grant one in return? How often do you hear someone say, or say to someone, "I didn't mean to." How often do you beg this excuse, or hear it begged, yet hold others to a higher standard than yourself?
This is really a short post, but I worry about how long I could make it. I worry about what's in the little bit already in front of me.
