1.) What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Got married!
2.) Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
One of my resolutions was to find a new job... I guess I'll have to carry that one over.
3.) Did anyone close to you give birth?
I can think of at least 6 friends and relatives that had babies this year, and next year is looking to be just as busy, babywise.
4.) Did anyone close to you die?
Yes. My mother died from pancreatic cancer in January.
5.) What countries did you visit?
Went to Winnipeg, Canada with "the guys".
6.) What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A home of our own rather than a rental. And maybe a bigger TV.
7.) What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 23rd, the day my mother died. September 16th, the day Terra and I got married.
8.) What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Pulling off the wedding. And getting paid to do cartoons.
9.) What was your biggest failure?
See #2.
10.) Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had a stye in my eye for months before I finally went to the doctor about it..
11.) What was the best thing you bought?
A "new" '99 Dodge Stratus.
12.) Whose behavior merited celebration?
The Minnesota Independence Party candidates, for running clean campaigns.
13.) Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Everyone involved in the ill-fated OJ Simpson book deal.
14.) Where did most of your money go?
Wedding related expenses and rent.
15.) What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The wedding, and the Honeymoon in Virginia.
16.) What song will always remind you of 2006?
"Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.

Spent more time with friends, worked on my cartooning more.

Eating pints of Ben and Jerry's.

Typical stuff - family gatherings with my side and Terra's.
21.) How will you be spending New Years?
Terra and I went out for a fancy dinner at Salut (with the giftcard i got from my boss) and are now nestled in to watch cheesy new Years specials.
22.) Did you fall in love in 2006?
I already was in love.
23.) How many one-night stands?
None.
24.) What was your favorite TV program?
The Office, Heroes, Big Love, Star Trek reruns on TV Land.
25.) Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Well, I am kind of upset with my cousin's wife for deciding to divorce him.

The Plot Against America by Philip Roth .
27.) What was your greatest musical discovery?
Hmm.... Terra gave me an iPod for my birthday. That's kind of a musical discovery.
28.) What did you want and get?
A Nintendo DS, as a wedding gift from my siblings. Not to mention dozens of other wedding gifts from other equally wonderful people.
29.) What did you want and not get?
I never got around to having my big Star Wars saga marathon!
30.) What was your favorite film of this year?
I'm kind of embarrassed to say that it might just be Rocky Balboa.
31.) What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 27. Went bowling and went to a movie with Terra and my family.
32.) What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Finding a briefcase full of unmarked hundred dollar bills.
33.) How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Fashion-wise I kind of look the same as always. I did start growing a beard, though.
34.) What kept you sane?
My wife.
35.) Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Nobody.
36.) What political issue stirred you the most?
The Iraq War.
37.) Who did you miss?
My mom, big time. And the family dog, Hershey, who died last november.

My sister-in-law's boyfriend, Kraig.
