Exciting News
Hi everyone! I have several things to be excited about...here they are listed in increasing order of importance...
*Our homecoming karaoke skit placed 3rd in the overall competition so there is yet another event at which we get points. I did accidentally flash the entire Lied Center audience in the process (I just flashed them my bikini top...it is ok!) but yeah...
*University Singers gets an all-expense paid or nearly all-expense paid trip to MALAYSIA or PARIS or BOTH! Malaysia would be to perform at the International Music Educators Conference next July (which we were invited to sing at...how cool is that?) and that would be also with Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble so fun times. Paris would be in the spring to go sing for a professional, internationally-known conductor (he has his own personal orchestra!)...possibly in the Notre Dame Cathedral! Apparently we are guaranteed one and maybe even both! How freaking cool is that?
*Some of you might know this but some of you might not--my mom had her surgery and she is sore but doing alright. But the big news is that her biopsies all came back breast-cancer free. Yay! She'll still undergo radiation just to make sure, but yay good. :)
