Update
Hi everyone,
It's been a super long time since I've updated my journal so I thought I'd take a minute to enlighten you on the craziness that is my life. :)
I moved into the DG house last Friday for the pre-recruitment stuff and did that all weekend through Sunday night.
Starting Monday morning, I have had Big Red Singers rehearsals (whoo!) from 9am-8pm everyday (with lunch & dinner breaks of course) and we have 4 of our 5 songs choreographed and the other is a ballad so that won't be hard. We also get to do lots of other cool stuff like host a show choir invitational and be the chorus in the fall opera!
Today (Thursday) I skipped BRS to be at my house for the last day of rush parties. I sang in our small group thing and played the piano for our stair songs. It was a good time. Then we voted on our top girls and everyone else was set free...meanwhile I went back to rehearsal and practiced more stuff. Ironically enough, me NOT being at rehearsal today actually helped because my brain had time to process. I did much better this evening than yesterday. :)
Tomorrow will be more BRS rehearsal in the morning, then lunch/run to my house to get necessary things I need, Bid Day at 1:30 here, then off to Omaha with the BRS friends for a retreat that requires NO MORE DANCING! We are just going to hang out, sit in the hottub, and relax with each other. It'll be a grand old time.
P.S.--I love it how we have 6 gay guys (out of 14) and they are pretty much the best dancers in the group. They're fun times...although today one of them pulled down his pants and rubbed his sweaty naked butt cheek on my arm. That was interesting. But it's fun to be in choir again--and we have lots of fun lifts, including one where they throw you up in the air and you spin around and then they catch you. Good times. :)
Well that was kind of random but I just thought I should write about everything I've been doing. Now there are probably only like 3 or 4 girls at most in the entire house because everyone's out partying since this is the first night they are "set free"...but I have audition music to learn for University Singers (which, by the way, got the music last Saturday...the audition is this Sunday...and that guy knew all of us would have BRS camp. Why could he have not sent it 1 week earlier?!? Oh well, I think I'm getting a handle on it) so I am working on that tonight and then I have to be back at BRS at 9am so that will be exciting to wake up again. Oh well. Well I should do something more productive than writing about how I should be productive. Maybe sleeping counts as being productive! :)
P.S.--One more thing! Remember everyone who told me that certain boy I was seeing who shall remain nameless on here was bad news? Well, you were right...he's a total jerkface. Once all of us BRS girls got together, we found out that he was dated, slept with, or made a move on 1/3 of the girls (5 different girls!) in BRS, and a lot of those things overlapped. Did he just not think we would ever figure it out or talk to each other? I thought he was supposed to be smart? Oh well...one of the girls totally called him on everything and supposedly he "feels really bad" so hopefully he will change his tune! But I'm not going to give him the opportunity to change it with me because, hello, he is not Jamie dating material. (While we're on the subject, I have the opportunity for a blind date sometime soon with a boy I met through Facebook! How funny is that? He asked me to call him when I am done with all the chaos I am doing and he would take me for ice cream.) :)
