And now, for an update...

She leaned back against the door as she breathed a heavy sigh.  She felt as though she had aged ten years within a day.  The girl closed her eyes, sensing the beginning of a migraine.  A tear escaped through her firmly shut eyelids.  The girl covered her face with her hands, and she began to rub her temples with her ( Read more... )

=) Hi abe4367 January 11 2006, 10:04:59 UTC
Jamie...I read what I commented on one of you posts...perhaps a year ago. So much has changed Jamie...so much. I've lost my way...I've lost the heart and fervor I had. That comment reminded me of what I lost...of what I had held sooo dear.
"Oh gosh...I always seem to have so much to say but I can never seem to put it into words...so lets hope this time it's different. Jaime in the limited number of years that I’ve been alive you are definitely one of the most analytical individuals that I’ve ever met. You seem to anticipate with others will think or what others will feel about what you say/do/write. This entry was no exception...you know that others will want to comment that you do have gifts, that your journal has made an impact, & that you should finish the story...and you DO have gifts and your journal HAS MADE an impact and you should finish the story. I'm sorry...honestly I am...if this entry angers/upsets you in anyway...but some things have to be said and what I'm about to say I say in love and in truth =]. You say you don't have any gifts but you have so many Jaime. Each person is unique, some are blessed with more gifts than others but each gift God has given us he has done so for His purpose. You have eyes from which you can see... ears from which you can hear...yet those are only the physical gifts that God has blessed you with; he also gave you spiritual eyes and ears from which the Holy Spirit can guide you. True God may not have made you the most athletic person, the best looking person, the most artistic person, but he has wonderfully made you to fulfill His purpose. Those individuals he has blessed with extreme athletic ability/breath taking appearance/ or the creativity of Picasso he has done so for His purpose. True the world values those gifts above all others, but the world fails to see the beauty in every aspect of ppl yet God makes no distinction between his children. We all provide essential functions in God’s eternal plan. Much like body parts, the body of God (I refer to ppl who serve him) functions best when all is working together. The ear cannot say "I can't see so I’m not important" for the body needs the ear as much as the eye. Have either of your parents ever gave you a life threatening present for your b-day/Christmas (random I know =])...lol didn't think so...that's cause your earthly parents know how to give good gifts...how much more our eternal father who loves us so much to allow his son to come and die for us?. My point here is that God knows what he's doing when he decided to bless you with particular gifts whether they were in abundance or not. I know you make a distinction between gifts and blessings...but is there really any difference? I have 6 brothers and sisters God has blessed me with and it directly states in the bible that every child is a gift from God so are they blessings or gifts? I'm not trying to prove you wrong Jaime...and I'm not trying to make you appreciate what you have more, for I believe that you already appreciate your blessings/gifts very much and I’m sure what I’m writing is like preaching to the choir(you know this all deep down in your heart)...the best explanation I can give you for why I’m writing this is because I’m your friend and "a friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words" (unknown author)=]. There are many other gifts that I know you posses that I didn't list Jaime but hopefully after reading this I won't have to."
I'm not sure why I post this here but I just felt compelled to.
