This whole "Obama's a Muslim" thing is irritating
Gosh darn, this whole "Obama's a Muslim" thing's irritating. Why don't people concentrate on the issues (and the character issues related to those issues)?
One thing I've never got about the American character is the fact that they seem to struggle to understand nuance. Everyone here seems to be "right or wrong," or "black and white." Politicians here don't seem to help. They present things in "black and white" terms.
I'm no fan of Clinton, I don't trust her. Had she not viewed her husband as a stepping stone to the presidency, she'd've left him years ago. I don't think she'll ever win the election. 4 out of 10 Americans think that women aren't ready to lead the country. I'll repeat that. In 2007, 40% of people in the US don't think women are ready to lead the country.
No wonder this country has race issues. If 2 out of every 5 people you meet think "women are less," what chance have minorities got?
