Wow. I'm stunned by the beauty of this. The ideas, the language, the execution are just breathtaking. I thought Sam/Toby/CJ was my favourite TWW threesome, but the interplay between Sam, Jed and Toby are really giving them a run for their money.

This fic excites me and makes me ache wanting to explore the things that you show them going through. You make me want to write this scenario again (even though I just did). :) And there are some absolutely fantastic lines:

Sam who is brought before him last, the last of Hannah's children to Nebuchadnezzar makes me shiver and want to cry. And holy god, I'm all over the comparisons between Sam and Ellie. And that part made me want to cry too. In fact, if I wasn't at work reading this, I probably would have.

In his dreams he watches the back of his father's hand (and one night Toby's hand) come down to strike him across his frightened face but when the hand pulls back it's his own and Sam has a cherry red blot where Jed had split his lip. *is stunned, again* I can feel and see this image, ( ... )

Hee... your icon just made me make an embarrassing distinctly squeeing noise into my diet ice-coffee.
Wow, I'm uh, I'm a little speechless. I'm really glad that you liked it, I guess that feedback from people that you admire will always hit you differently.

*goes to have Sam/Jed/Toby thoughts and see if she can weave them into 'Bright Exhalation pt 8'*Dude ( ... )

For once that is not my fault: black_eyedgirl is the culprit. Ain't it *great*? ;)

It's the single most engaging WIP I've ever read (though to be perfectly honest I rarely read WIP's in the first place, I'm a one-shot girl through and through and maybe now I understand why. The waiting drives me insane, but it's a good kind of insane I guess) and certainly the WIP I've gotten the most involved with emotionally.
*blush* I'm always faintly astonished when people say that they *continue* to enjoy Bright Exhalation, even though I spend like, months getting each part out. It makes me want to do right by you guys, if you know what I mean. :)

Or maybe I'm just emotionally involved with your Toby.
That makes me, you know, *so* happy. And yes. Me too, oh god yes. *pets him*

And 'Myths Of His Fathers' was not only gorgeous but it really helped me finally break the mental barrier of the possibility of a physical encounter between Sam and Jed (even though ( ... )

(Like Leo/Josh that way.)

Ah, Leo/Josh... my personal holy grail of rare-pairings...
I have a sneaking suspicion that one ought to be adequately intoxicated before trying to tackle that particular Everest.

I have to say, I think it was the very hardest pairing I've ever written when I tried it. But god, worth it. I don't think I'd thought properly about either character before I did that.

I have a sneaking suspicion that one ought to be adequately intoxicated before trying to tackle that particular Everest.
If only for Leo-like verisimilitude. :)

If only for Leo-like verisimilitude.

You know, people should really use that word in day-to-day conversations more often.
