Goodbye 2007 :)

Jan 01, 2008 21:26

It's been a great year and it seems to have flown right bye. I felt it was only right to take some time and to reflect the things that stick out in my memory about 2007. It really was a growing year for me. God did some amazing work in my life and my heart. I feel that 2007 was good for me. Here are some important things from the past year :)

*I fell in love with Jamaica. Words can't describe how much I care about the people there and I can't wait to go back and minister my heart out.
*I began to understand how important true friends are. I consider myself a pretty lucky person for having as many friends as I do. But you know what, it's the friends that are there to pick you up when you're at your lowest that really make my heart smile. I have a handfull of friends that are there no matter what and I thank God for them everyday. They are the ones that truly know my heart and love me unconditionally. :)
* I learned that apparently I'm growing up. I finished school and have graduated. Adulthood here I come. I'm excited about the future, whatever that may be.
* I'm learning how to let go. And I'm not talking about letting go of good things. I'm talking about letting go of things that aren't mine to hold on to. I don't know what tomorrow brings, and it's not fair to worry about tomorrow. I'm waking up everyday and doing my best to live out my call.
* I've been able to see how amazing love is. I never knew that my heart could beat so much for one person. I am a lucky lady. Because of my man I have become a better person every day and I continue to grow. I can't wait to see where our path goes next :)
* I've met some amazing children over the past year. It always seems that I start to fall in love with some of the most unlovable children. I like to see their eyes smile. I love teaching and spending time with children. There is nothing better than reading a book and interacting with a group of kids.

Well my mind seems to have run out of things.... :) I hope that your 2007 was amazing and that you're looking forward to a great 2008 :)
