Finally a day off, thank the lord!!  I'm really not digging this job at all, where each week you get evaluated on something to work on, they check up on you and stuff.  Like a yearly thing, yes, not weekly, I don't like keeping up sales goals and stuff like that.  Just give me something to work on and I'll do it, no goals that are unreachable ( Read more... )

Sales goals is why I didn't like working at BB&T. The bank I work at now is fabulous, though! They push sales through monetary incentives rather than setting goals. Crossing selling is encouraged, but not tracked. I think the costumers also appreciate the laid back approach.

I'm sorry you aren't enjoying it. Working Saturdays is definitely a downside, too. The bank I work at currently closes it's lobby at noon on Thursdays, so that kinda makes up for having to work every third Saturday.

Moving to Michigan is a big decision! How long will it be before you and Chris will get to live together again? Or do you know?

Yes, sales are not my thing, being pushy and asking every customer to open some line of credit or something is annoying. Right now I just know it's a job and only am gonna be there for like 3 more months, it helped us get our feet back on the ground after moving. Chris gets another raise in May and that will help even more, and with taxes, we can move back home. Then even if I don't go back for Medical like I want to do, I can at least go to a temp agency and not have to worry about insurance with a job and find a long term temp job, hopefully making a few bucks more in an office like I'm used to.

We have no idea on Chris, he hates it here, so he thinks that if he's stuck here longer then he wants to be, he's just gonna start looking for other federal agencies to transfer with to Michigan. He'd probably go into depression if he had to stay here that long actually. But we figure if we can plan a trip home each month for him, he can take like 6 days a month off since he has so much leave so he would be feeling a little better.

Eeks, I think I'd be miserable at a job like that :o\

So is Chris still doing the border patrol thing when you guys move home?

Yup, hate this job, since the town is so small, I just did what I could, there aren't even good temp agencies here. But never EVER what I wanted to do. But plan is to go back home, maybe go to a temp place, find a long term temp job, hopefully for quite a few bucks more then I'm making now, since I'm not having to worry about insurance and stuff anymore and see where it goes from there ( ... )

Are you renting the current house you are in in AZ? Just think of how well your Scentsy business will do at "home"!
Get some applications in now, explain the situation and you never ever know what you might find! Heck, even if you have to move in with your parents for the time being a job is a job (oh crap I just realized, school for Brody!)

Yes we rent our AZ house but it's month to month now since we only did 6 months lease last April. Chris will have 2 guys live with him in it probably. We will just move essentials for now and the rest later. Brody is done with school before memorial weekend so we will probably go then. We just signed him up for baseball here anyways and our renters aren't done til June unless they find something before, but I need a job fairly soon to live in 2 places and afford stuff. Yes Scentsy will be a lot easier there too!

Wow they get out early!

Good news about the Scentsy - Have you started a FB page to get people to "like" you and get customers. Maybe join some Michigan area groups. Some of the swap groups are great, some are not at all.

I'm going to Spring Sprint on Tuesday in Chicago and really excited. Still on the fence about Convention, it depends on flights and stuff.
