PARATWEETS!
wasn't really looking for another bird since our little green guy died, but now here we are with 5 of them!
the 5 paratweets are home. i watched them to see which 2 were the most compatible and moved them into the bird cage i had from my bird that died. the cage they were in is much to small for 5 birds! however, they all seemed basically compatible, so while i moved 2 of them to a different cage i have the cages so close that they are nearly touching.
they are scared and confused but have already done a bit of chirping and calling so i think they will settle in well. they came with food, but it is the cheapest, nastiest food ever. we put it in the compost pile and gave them the better food i had left from my little green guy.
their lives may not be perfect with us, but they will be better....i am making them that promise.
