List of Books (2013)
So, here it is - the list of books I've read this year :). Basically, I just wanted to have a look at how many books I would read in a year - and yes, I realise that keeping a record of that is probably something only I would do xD.
If I had to recommend just one book off of this list I think I'd go for Rafik Schami's A Hand Full of Stars - that book just took my breath away. In a nutshell, it's about a young boy who lives in Damscus and who starts keeping a diary, recording all of his dreams (he wants to be a journalist) and snippets of his every day life in a diary. It's funny and imaginative (particularly the stories of Uncle Salim, which he writes down), but also serious in that it can be a dangerous ambition to want to be a journalist under an oppressive regime. Just an excellent book :).
