Uni stuff, colds and yes I am a tourist :)

Oh dear, I'm so unbelievably tired :/. I've been fighting a cold the past few days (thank you kids -.-) and today my body finally decided to give in. Darn it. So, much to the amusement of the little ones I've been randomly falling asleep today - in my bed or the couch when I was lucky, on the ground in front of the patio door when I was less lucky. (... don't ask ...)

At least the laptop's working again. My wonderful host dad kindly lent me his power cable today, because mine recently decided that it would like to leave my service - without handing in its notice! As you can imagine I wasn't very happy about that (even though it did save me from listening to the end of that fascinating linguistics lecture ... one of the more juicy discoveries made in that lecture: language is the combination of sounds into words and sentences. ... reeeaaallly?). Sorry, I know I'm being a bit cranky.

But speaking of university, I also tried to work out my new schedule for next semester - and it's not been easy. What do you think would be the better choice? Suffer through a lecture that lasts for six and a half hours just twice a semester, or go for the one that takes place thrice but only lasts for four hours? I can't quite decide ... Also, I think I'll have to cut back on the number of courses I want to take, because I don't think I can do a Monday that lasts from eight in the morning till eight in the evening ... Does anybody else get the feeling I might be studying a tad too many subjects?

But I think it's probably best if I worry about that another time. I've got the rough draft done now at least - now I just need to adjust it to my liking :)! And anyway, I'm getting way too excited for the Houses of Parliament tomorrow to worry about uni - let's hope the tour is going to prove itself worthy of the ten pounds I spent on it :D!

university, sick
