The Tortoise and the Hair

A few days ago, I was pulling on my boxers when I noticed a light hair wavering on my hip. Figuring it to be a loose hair that had settled there, I brushed it away. It didn’t move. I tugged on it, and realized that it was attached to me. This is odd because (a) the hair was over two inches long, and (b) it was perfectly ( Read more... )

First, a couple of items unrelated to this specific post:

I Googled "irruminations" to find the website just moments ago while at a computer lab where the site wasn't one of my "favorites," and found that there's also an "Irruminations" blog at blogspot.com. What's there? "Ramblings of a retired Filipino actor and singer the simple life in Boston... and loving it!" Jamey, you need to meet this guy. I've always thought you needed a retired Filipino singer/actor as a soul mate. See http://irruminations.blogspot.com/.

Also, I'm really a sucker for ridiculous headlines. Currently, "Naked men enter store, calmly buy Skittles" is making an appearance in CNN.com's "Latest News."

To provide a few pertinent observations for good measure, two comments on The Golden Compass. First, this movie has Eva Green. Does anybody else find her smoking hot? I think she and Jessica Alba are my top choices for under-30 cinematic eye candy ( ... )

Ugh. I'm disappointed to hear that there's another irruminations out there. I'm going to bring that up in a future blog entry.

That's a great headline. More headlines need to start out with "Naked men/women enter store".

I agree with Eva Green. She's pure eye candy whenever she's on the screen in the Golden Compass, even though she's barely in it.

The books have somewhat of an atheist idealogy behind them, but in my opinion, the books are moreso against church corruption than religion in general. But that's just my take. As for an Alien versus Predator battle for Aslan/Jesus against a Golden Compass character, there is one guy in the third book that could fit the billing.

Okay, these posts are getting seriously gross.

To bolster my point, I direct you to the google ads for this entry: "No more pubic hair Ever"; "Pubic Hair Removal"; "Gillette Holiday Gifts" and for some strange reason, "Harry Potter Ringtones." Go figure.

I got a different Gillette one and "Pubic Hair Removal," the other two are "Ingrown Hair Treatment" and "Find Top Online Degrees."

How about people with gross, long hairs growing out of moles on their faces? Why don't they do something about that?
