skate(ing) alot
for those of you who know me.....my old hobby/life has come back to me after being put in the closet for almost a decade. I have taken the dust off of some of the tricks that i spent hours/days/months in my parents driveway learning and perfecting. I'm still trying to get some of them back and I'm also trying to learn some of the newer more technical tricks.
the hiss of the wheels and the pop of the tail (and nose) are once again permeating into my daily activities and thoughts. my sleep is disrupted only to lay in bed for 30 min - 1hr thinking about skating at the place I saw earlier that day, before falling asleep again. the surveying of concrete quality is now once again part of my life. yeah, the bumps, cuts, bruises, and sore muscles have found their way back also, but it's small currency compared to the fulfillment of even just standing on my maple, metal, and urethane.
i've been back at it for about a month and a half, and i'm glad skating is still in my blood.
