work is not bad.............sometimes.

I worked tonight. I closed. While it was tiring tonight, it wasn't so bad as to write dirty things on my page. I worked with Mark (from Hurst) and Richard. I wish that we had been a little slower so that I could have talked to Mark more than I did, but there will be a time to do that later. I think that Mark may have been surprised at my silence at work. I don't talk much; I just work. The sad thing about that is that I feel like I don't ever get enough accomplished for my fellow co-workers. Oh, well. At least I try, right?

It makes me so happy when people reply to my posts, especially the ones about socio-political issues. Although, I do have to say that I feel sorry for Rachael's reply because she got a HUGE reply back. It wasn't bad; it was just incredibly long. I hope that she is at the library for a long time the next that she goes.

I listened to Democracy Now! earlier today and I was a bit disturbed to find out that Clear Channel and a lot of our super-huge media conglomerates are heading to England. Apparently Tony Blair is "deregulating" the British media market and allowing them to integrate foreign media companies. There is a subtle irony in this. It is mostly American companies taking over the air-waves in England. These same companies lobbied for American ownership exclusivity in the states but are allowed to take over foreign markets. I will say this another way now. American companies can take over England's market but british broadcasters are not allowed to own American media corporations. So much for fair trade, eh?
