so, i'm reading the book "Hegemony or Survival: America's quest for Global Dominance" by Noam Chomsky. It is really good in that depressing "our foreign policy is bad for the entire world" sort of way. The main premise, thus far, presents the military force used by the US as a "tool for peace" as a large scale farce. It penetrates the media base and digs into the nightmare that is the foreign policy of the US. The language is advanced enough to learn new vocabulary but not so far removed from accessible structure as to make it a difficult read. I've learned a few things in it so far, but I will probably end up reading it again b/c it is VERY FULL of info. It portrays the Bush administration as a piece of American pre/neo-totalitarianism. There will be more posted about this book soon.
Kelly is talking to Matt and hopefully I will get to here in a moment.
Work wasn't too bad. It was pretty much business as usual, and I'm off for the next two days so that's good. I don't really have much else to say right now.
