Beer, Popcorn, Movie

Wilson had left the hospital on time for once. He'd paged Chase, let him know that he was heading home though he didn't know whether or not to expect the younger man what with the situation with the grandparents so, uncertain about what his evening held in store, the oncologist had swung by the video store and dug up a couple old classics to laugh with.

Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.

Who would ever say no to Mel Brooks?

A splurg on a six pack of Old Peculier, it would be the last time he could let himself pick up the expensive beer and then he'd headed on back to the brownstone.

His house was quiet, oddly quiet after the weeks of either rattling around Chase's duplex or having the younger man rattle around the brownstone and Wilson flicked on the stereo to help alliviate the silence. Tossing the movies on his sofa, he tugged his tie loose and undid the first few buttons of his shirt, shoes toed off and kicked under the kitchen table, he'd grab them later. Putting the beer in the fridge and grabbing one for his own consumption, Wilson puttered barefoot around in his kitchen, dancing a little in time to the music playing throughout the house.

There was a lot on his mind and a little general ire in his mood, he hadn't been able to talk to House, Will was in a mood and who the hell knew what was up with Benson and McKay... something. Burrowing through his cabinets, the oncologist snorted with distaste at all his possible meal options and eventually dug some extra butter, microwave popcorn out of the small cubboard. Unfolding it, he flipped it into the microwave and set the button to 'popcorn'.

Cracking his way into the beer, Wilson leaned against the counter of his kitchen and stared out across his backyard, making a note that he needed to mow soon...definitely before he headed out on his road trip.
