It's my mom's birthday today and I didn't get her a present because I'm broke. >_< However, with Kaitlyn's help, I've reserved a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins, and I'm gonna go pick it up tonight! And Kaitlyn is going to write happy birthday mom in Chinese for me on the cake. I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain with Dayu, Angel, Dayu's brother DJ, Huy, and Ronald Q on Monday. I never knew that driving from San Diego to Six Flags takes 3 hours. That's 6 hours of driving I did that day. I can't believe I didn't fall asleep on the wheel after that long day. I went on about 10 rides. X is still the best one. I think I've being paralyzed by the excitement from riding rollar coasters that I don't feel anything anymore on most rides. X is the only ride that I actually screamed out of fear: fear of not knowing which direction you are going at any given second. The best thing is I only waited 20 minutes in line for X. And Goliath is still awesome, but my cousin DJ was so scared by Goliath that he bent down his head, closed his eyes, and held on to my arm the whole time during the ride. Goliath was the first ride that we went on, so DJ never went on any other rollar coasters again. Dayu and I wanted to buy a picture from Six Flags, but all of them are so expensive. And to make sure that you get a good picture, you have to know where the camera is, which means you have to go on the ride at least two times to get a good picture. With most of the rides having one-hour-waiting lines, it was nearly impossible to get a decent picture. However, we finally found this ride called Splashdown, and the line is only 10 minutes wait. We went on it twice. I got a pretty good picture the first time (I spotted the camera before we went on the ride), but Dayu wanted to get a better picture. So here is the picture that we got:
