Last night, I was so exhausted from work, I laid down at 6PM and didn't get out of bed until half an hour ago.
The dream I had during that time frame was for the ages.
Okay, so. My older brother and I are in a mall and suddenly we get whisked off to a conference room that's elsewhere in the building. We get there, there's tons of press and reporters. A circular table is set up around the room (not unlike a comic convention, oddly enough) and it's filled with pundits, political figures, and (oddly enough) pop stars from the UK. Particularly ones who performed at the original Live Aid concert in the 1980's. So you've got Phil Collins, Bob Geldof, the surviving members of Queen, and right in the center of course, is Bono.
So we're seated and Bono's going on about whatever philanthropic stuff he's usually going on about, and in typical rock star fashion he tries to get the crowd involved. He comes right up to me and my brother and tries to get us to respond to something he was saying. Feeling put on the spot and not exactly endeared to the man's preening, we don't really do anything. You ever see the Family Guy episode where Lois is asked to sing part of Kiss' "Rock and Roll All Nite" and gets the lyrics wrong? It was like that.
So whatever was going on ends and right away Phil Collins appears next to us. He says "come with me" (I almost expected him to say "if you want to live" at the end of that). He whisks us down a hallway back to the main part of the building and he does it in a hurry. When we ask why, he just says "Bono doesn't like people to go against him".
He leads us back to the mall and that's the end of the dream.
