i love being paid weekly, it makes you feel so much richer!
it doesnt matter that the money will go just as fast on equally unenjoyable things (such as saving for uni),
the fact is i have a cheque for 150 quid, and it FEELS GOOD!

hmm...
am feeling better this week, but in a strange way. nothing 'good' has happened in the literal sense, there's no reason for me to feel any different to last week. but work is less meh than last week, im feeling less depressed and crap, and im keeping myself busy, which is good, i suppose. i kinda feel like im waiting for something, and im not sure what. not just the waiting for a job to come through, either. i feel like i would feel in the run up to going to uni, like somethings ending and somethings about to happen/begin. but i dont know what, why, how or when, or if its just me feeling weird.
had a fun night out on saturday. ashley and louise organised a gathering of ten or so people at their house, which fell through completely when almost everyone cancelled at the last minute. however, what could have been a disastrous mess turned out to be a fantastic evening. me, lou, ash and our friend freya all went into guildford and just visited all the bars, drinking and dancing and having fun. i havent had such a nice hassle-free evening in what feels like months. no aggro or arguments between anyone, no tiredness or stress, just a lovely evening out with 3 friends. so that was awesome :-)
Jess, a.k.a. forty_licks is off to uni on sunday :-( so we went for a drink last night and i stayed over. we watched Dylan Moran's stand up show; 'Like, Totally', which was absolutely hilarious!!! also, we watched Velvet Goldmine (first time, for me!), and i discovered that i am extremely attracted to Ewan McGregor. I dont know why!??! he wasnt hot in star wars, or trainspotting, or anything else ive seen him in, and yet with long blond hair, parodying kurt cobain and having a homosexual relationship with John Rhys Davies's David Bowie take-off, hes absolutely stunning!!!
im gonna miss Jess though. she is my favoritest online buddy and i loves her oh so much :-( no more shall i stay up till 2am discussing whether daleks menstruate, or who the next Doctor should be. no more shall i be bombarded with cat macros, or endless links to the ihasatardis LJ community. good job im going to the same uni as her next year, and can recommence the geekery ASAP!!! :-D
pub tomorrow! it'll be the last time any substantial amount of our friendship group will be together until christmas time! so that should be awesome fun, providing my cheque clears fast enough so i can actually buy drinks for the evening!!! lol.
otherwise, im planning to spend the weekend with amy, which will be nice, as she has been oh so busy at college and i oh so busy at work that we've barely seen each other for the last 3 weeks :-(
i think we're gonna see 'Run, Fatboy, Run' on saturday, as we both love Nick Pegg & Simon Frost (Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, for those of you who know the films but not the actors).
OOH! awesome news about amy, actually.
she has gotten herself a saturday job (more for the experience than money- she already earns £100 an hour whenever she plays the harp at functions and weddings and stuff), teaching Music Theory to little children at my old school. i think she's gonna be an awesome teacher! i mean, if she has the patience to put up with ME, she can deal with any amount of irritation a child could give her ^_^ so go amy!!! *dances*
also, if anyone notices my mood status on this post, i am actually feeling chipper.
