It's Father's Day - who's your daddy? Sometimes it seems like the women get all the attention on Mother's Day, while the men are lucky to get a pair of slippers on the third Sunday of June. In honor of Father's Day, list three things that make you think of your father and share one story (as much or as little detail as you like) or memory about the man you look up to.
1.Sailing: my dad is obsessed with sailing. he co-owns (with a friend of his), a 25-foot yacht in the South of France, and we always used to go as a family and live on the boat, and take it out sailing every day, and he'd always shout at us for getting everything wrong, but then when you did something right he'd be so proud...
2. Baby videos (go with me here): one time last summer, i came downstairs in the middle of the night so get a drink, and heard the TV was on, so i went into the lounge, to find my dad sitting there watching old videos of me as a baby. i stood there quietly at the door (thinking he hadnt noticed me yet), and watched with him for about 5 minutes, at which point he stood up, came over and hugged me hard, told me he was damn proud of me, and went to bed. it was only as i took off my t shirt to get into bed and noticed the wet marks that i realised he'd been crying :-) thats my sappy moment, really
3. The Who: cause my dad is obsessed with them. you can tell if hes woken up in a good mood, cause you come down to breakfast and you can hear Baba O Reilly playing on the CD player...
also, its my good friend ashley's first fathers day, so happy fathers day to him!!!
