So I met my friend Joe at Angel Tube station at about 6.30ish, and we went straight to the Islington Academy.
On arrival, we got a couple of drinks and chilled out while listening to the support band, who were called The Future, who were kinda cool in a sorta epic screamo way. we were amazed at how small the venue was (maybe 400-500 tops). and we were v excited by the sight of the Coheed & Cambria banner behind the stage!

A scene of Epic Proportions!
Then all hell broke loose when my idols came on stage- I can say with full confidence that my love of Coheed equals, if not surpasses my love of Gundam Wing. They played absolutely amazingly- this is the 4th time ive seen them, and they get better every time! Two new songs; The Running Free, and The Hound. And halfway through Everything Evil, they stopped, did The Trooper by Iron Maiden, then their own song Devil in Jersey City, then back to finish off Everything Evil (all seamlessly fluent)
Here are some photos from their set, and of their setlist, which someone we met later got given, so we took a photo instead of stealing it.
Claudio Sanchez- Lead Vocals and Guitar (whose hair is FAR bigger than mine)
Travis Stever- Backing Vocals and Guitar

Mike Todd- Bassist and Backing Vocals

The Setlist!
We emerged, sweaty and happy. But the night was not over! Because we were crashing at Joe's university dorm room that night at Kings College, LONDON, we didnt have to worry about getting the last train home to Guildford. So naturally, we located the back entrance of the venue, and waited like utter groupies with about 30 other people.
After an hour or so the crowd dispersed to just a few people. By this point me and Joe had befriended a New Zealander called Anna and a Canadian called Courtlen. Below is a picture of us all with the security guard (who, it turned out, had been on security at a Silverchair gig Joe had been to recently).
We had been talking to the support band for about ten minutes, when we heard the cutest most awesome american voice ever say 'Hey guys!', we turned and it was Claudio and Travis!! so I got my ticket signed by them and got pictures!

So then Claud and Travis went and got on their tourbus, and Mike appeared, and we got signatures and a picture.

and THEN the most amazing thing happened. Mike was chatting to some friends of his, so i turned to Joe, Anna and Courtlen and said 'Shall we go get some coffee?', and on the word coffee, Mike's head snapped around and he said 'can I come?'
So, utterly in awe, the four of us went with Mike to find coffee. We spent the next hour and a half hanging out in Islington, failed to find a coffee place that was open, and ended up going for a kebab

Quote of the Night:
Mike: We're a gang now, and we're not leaving till we have a rad name.
Me: How about Coheed and Kebabria?
All: *groan*
Mike: Coheed & Kebabria it is!
So all in all an AMAZING night!
