I have a math class in which the professor has this quirky little rule that if your cell phone goes off, you have to tell a story for the class. For a second or third offense, you have to sing and act something out

James, your posts are an island of reality in an ocean of bullshit here on livejournal. You know that? Thanks for having me on your friends list.

I think that's fucked that people can't let things be for those of you who've served over there. I think that maybe it's a combination of things that raises their curiosity. I think our news media is a crock of shit currently, and maybe that has something to do with people wanting to know as much as they can about what's going on over there. I think another part of it is how desensitized some of the people in today's culture think that they are. I mean I love violent videogames and movies as much as the next bloke, but I think some people tend to forget what kind of information they're processing, unless they're really over there on a daily basis experiencing it, and if that's the case I'm sure none of them would think that it's cool at all.

On behalf of a lot of pinheads who've not had a chance to experience how shitty it must be over there, first-hand, I again thank you for serving over there. I just wish more of us could be more understanding of those who've walked in your boots, you know?
