Ok, so, we were on the way back from my mother-in-law's house and Killing In the Name by Rage Against the Machine came on and I started thinking about how much I like that album cover and then I started thinking about all the album covers I like and so I thought I'd talk about them here. Ahem.
Rage Against the Machine - S/T
Rancid - ...And Out Come the Wolves
The Clash - London Calling
Radiohead - The Bends
The Roots - Things Fall Apart
I think the thread that runs through these album covers is the emotion that the person is conveying. It's probably most effective on the Rancid album cover. That picture just breaks my heart because it's like, you see these punks with the mohawks and tats and everything and they're so angry, but this one is just weighed down by the world and I just get the feeling he's scared and maybe alone or sad or something....and out come the wolves. Anywho, hope everyone is doing well out there. Let me know what you guys think I should do to improve this blog.
