Brief update from Thailand

May 28, 2005 11:02

We're in Isaan which is a rural village where there is a leper colony, we're working on building a barn and a small nursery, we leave here on Wednesday night (we're about 14 hours ahead of seattle time). There have been a lot of good times, I haven't been running as often, but we've been working in the ridiculous heat and humidity, so we're getting a workout. Our day looks like get up for breakfast by 8, work until noon, lunch relax/ quiet time until 3:30 (from the heat), then work until about 6:15 ish, then after dinner (hopefully by 8) we have group time which lasts a while. I ate a fried cricket last Saturday, and some other bugs.

Everything is pretty inexpensive, apparently when we get back to Bangkok we can get some nice tailored suits for 80 bucks... If anyone wants anything leave a comment to let me know.

More time later for more stories.
