Republican propagandist?

Democrats have Moore. It’s beginning to seem like the Republicans have somebody too. And that somebody is probably a good reason as to why they won so much on November 2nd. It appears that the republicans’ propagandists are the conservative religious leaders and evangelicals. Instead of creating movies in order to sway public opinion, they preach every Sunday to those willing to listen. Perhaps one reason why it would be more effective than Moore’s movie making methods is that when people go to church, it doesn’t cause a frenzy and piss off anybody, but when you see a movie that you disagree with it can cause you to fight as hard as you can for you own views.

With Bush back in office, they are pushing their agendas with daily conference calls and meetings. But just as Moore might have scared off some and pissed off others, some religious supporters might scare off moderates. For instance Bob Jones III in his letter to Bush to congratulate him on his victory wrote that the president’s re-election was “a reprieve from the agenda of paganism” He went on to say, "You owe liberals nothing. They despise you because they despise your Christ." I’ll be the first to say that some of the things Moore says sound a little crazy, but this is pushing it a little far too. I don’t think liberals preach “the agenda of paganism”.
