E Handley's dinner party 6.30. Large party. Miss E and Mr T Grimley [?], Arnold, H and G Payton, Harrison and their ladies made up the party which was well done but slow. Attended meeting of Birmingham District Land Co which was stormy and I had a row with Mr Pollach - attended Q H Committee where we appointed both H[ead] S[urgeon] and Grinling obstetric surgeon.
