okay so it is that time again. The time you live for. Eric is going to update. yes. So I am working now. full time. Thank you department of transportation. I am also playing an obscene amount of tennis. school starts in a week from today. I am excited and depressed at the same time. scroll down a few entries. You can see how excited I was for summer to start and now it is coming to an end. It is weird how a summer can be remembered by 3 or 4 posts in a livejournal. there is so much that the journal doesn't know. Like...
the time i rode a horse a few weeks ago. it was my first time ever really riding a horse. it was pretty intense and scary. i had the biggest horse i had ever seen. like you can guess, it was the only horse i had ever seen. so we pay to rent these 4 horses for 2 hours and my sister, cousin, his friend Katie and i all plan on a long sunset cruise on the water. no dice. my huge beast, who's name was ironically 'sweetie', don't get along from the moment i get on her. like a typical woman, sweetie could tell within the first 10 seconds i had no idea what i was doing. so she decided to take the lead. i had little or no control over her. so we start to ride and everything is all good. we have a guide to show us the way out of the horse ranch place and to show us the direction of the trail. my horse keeps stopping on the trail to eat weeds or grass or anything. like every 20 seconds she just stops. the guide is getting annoyed with me because supposedly if i let her eat, that is all she is going to want to do. so i had to yank the reigns when she did it to make her stop. long story ... the guide left us, sweetie is doing all right, she has been relativity good. but all of the sudden, we are at the beach trail, we almost made it to the beach. fucking sweetie decides she wants to go home. so we are trotting along and out of nowhere, sweetie just turns us right around and starts trotting towards the ranch. i pull the reigns and pull them to the left, but it wouldn't work. it only made her madder. eventually she started galloping. this bitch ass horse is running as fast as she can, trying to get home. i am literally bouncing up and down in the saddle, and my feet are barely in the stirrups at his point i am just praying i don't fall off this horse. she is like 7 feet tall. so we're at top speed im freaking out, yelling for Katie to help me. she is yelling 'pull the reigns, pull the reigns', which is what i was trying, but every time i pulled the horse would rearup on her hind legs and try to bite me. we would be running, i would pull, and all sweetie would do is reach her head around and nip at my leg. im only wearing some shorts that have risen all the way up my leg because of the saddle and my brand new reeboks. so im cold, a horse is biting me, and im running like 30mph. finally another guide sees me and i kindly yell for help and he blocks sweetie with his horse and she finally came to a stop. he told me i have to pull those reigns as hard as i can if i want her to stop. duhh dude. what the hell do you think i was doing. anyway, the annoyed guide left, and sweetie took off again. this time i wasn't going to let her. i pulled that reign like my life depended on it. sweetie jumped up on her hind legs and held it for like 5 seconds ( i know it doesn't sound like a long time, but stop and slowly count to 5 right now). it was a scene straight out of the lone ranger. but this time i was holding on for dear life. sweetie had me in her death grip, but i held on. after that, we ran into another guide and i asked if he could help me get back safely. so i went back an hour early and just waited in the car for the others. scary ass sweetie. you still haunt me.
That was a long, drawn out story, but it is what I will remember this summer by.
Half moon bay and sweetie don't mix.
How was your summer? Tell me. I want to know.
