M y S Q L is having one of its developer meetings in Sorrento this week. So far:
1. I've disagreed somewhat heatedly with M o n t y.
2. I've said flat out to J i m S t a r k e y during a meeting that he was wrong on a particular issue.
3. I've done similar to sales, product management and others in suitable context.
Fun times. :) Lots more agreeing than disagreeing, though. :)
Database storage engine discussions but that's the limit of what I can say about their nature.
M y S Q L encourages vigorous debate. One of the reasons it's a great company to work for - you're not going to get fired for disagreeing with half of the senior management team when you've a reason for it. Instead, you're supposed to be passionate and vocal when necessary.
If you want to work for a company like this, see
jobs and mention that James at m y s q l dot com referred you.
