merry christmas livejournal-land
given the mess that my life tends to be these days, how tired I am cause of the season's work my tushie off mentality, and any lack of family or friends more than Lee (who, btw, never put up a tree himself so it really doesn't feel like xmas here), I thought I'd use this little post to put just a little bit of christmas in my otherwise day off day.
christmas has been meaning less and less to me as I get older. It's not that I'm losing interest in it, but more that my life has less use for it in its more traditional sense. My family is scattered. Not much chance I'll see them. Broke most of the time, so not much chance I'm exchanging anything other than pleasantries anyway. And the work thing, not because work is bad, just that it gets insane and tiring this time of year, all combine to make christmas this eh kind of feeling in me.
So, more or less, I just don't celebrate it in the way I used to. I can still feel the spirit of it and that's what this post is all about. If one can't reach many people in person, make a cyber shout out, right?
So here's to hoping all you LJ fools are having a good day today and continue to have good ones from now on. :)
