No Van Der Graaff generator.
I currently have one in my posession. How cool is that.

All I need is a prticle accelorator and life would be ace.

I would not be at all surprised to find someone in fandom has a particle accelerator...

I think I've got generator envy :)

I always meant to make my own. Forgot about that.

Not supposed to be that difficult.

1 drinks can
1 hand held fan
2 fuses (for the glass tubes)
1 big elastic band
Wood / Plastic / glass for construction.

There are other generators.

When I was in school, the science teacher used to single out the class troublemaker to be the one to touch the Van der Graaf generator and demonstrate the spark leaping from the top to the finger of the individual.

Trouble was the jerk hadnt read the homework so didnt know what was going to happen ... and also the teacher had left it running since early morning ... hehehe

The NSF at Daresbury uses a VdG generator as a particle accelerator.
