Much Ado
I was trying for the discipline to update jamesandbluejay once a week, around Wednesday, but there was so much ado about other writing this past week that I got caught without a scene-in-work from "Looking for Lucha" to present. (see previous article about naming the second book of the series.)
This past week posting a couple of stories to White County Creative Writer's conference in Searcy kept me busy with last minute, pulse pounding, frantic scrabbling and scribbling. I was beginning to think I could only get anything done between the hours of 10 PM and 2 AM.
No time to relax, though, because the deadline for the Ozark Creative Writers Conference is 'real soon now' and I would really like to have something in the mix.
Status of ebook Macho Caballo #1: marked as free on Smashwords, presently only a little over a hundred have been given away since last February. Not very promising, but I'm hoping to reach more people this way. I tried to drop the price on the other markets, but they refused to list $0.00. I suppose they'll spot the discrepancy and either match it or evict the listing, I don't know. First time for this, you know.
Wipe sweat from brow. Tell self next week will be calmer. Uncross fingers.
