Movie Review: Drag Me to Hell !!!LIGHT SPOILER ALERT!!!
Sam Raimi....THANK YOU!!!
He brought back the good ol' jump out of your pants or shorts kinda summer movie. This movie is everything I expected and more!!!
Allison Lohman was brilliant as the young lady that refuses to extend an elderly Gypsy womans foreclosure. The old woman tries to beg her for mercy, and it all goes downhill from there ladies and gentleman!
Brilliant music, fantastic script written by Raimi and his brother, and good ol' fashion scary scenes, and some nail biting moments.
The last ten to fifteen minutes is slightly predictable, but it sure is one helluva ride to get to the end!
Justin Long (the Mac guy), is pretty good as the boyfriend of our main character. He provides some comic relief here and there. But in typical Sam Raimi fashion, ala Army of Darkness, there is a lot of gratuitous mayhem and comic relief provided by the numerous characters she surrounds herself with in this movie.
Please give this little movie a chance. It's a great popcorn movie!
So on a scale of 1 to 5 paws...you know know what I mean....5 being great and 1 being horrible....I rate this 4.5 out of 5 paws!!!
