Writer's Block: Challenges I’ve Faced

Feb 11, 2009 18:37

I was always afraid to travel....and then a friend forced me onto the road, with a backpack and very little money.  And it had major effects on my friend and I.
I know feel i have a thick coat of world-wide experience.  I have learned to engage anyone, befriend strangers with the quickness of a breath, and diffuse tension in the oddest situations by reading others and just flat out being kind.  Aren’t these skills now of value in a way to make money?  To run a business?  To move in a direction where I can be fiscally independent, in control of our own financial destiny without checking upstairs on our decisions?
Travel may have absolved me of the required adult moves I 'need' to make as we move forward in my life, and even more so showed us the alternative path that we can navigate with confidence and aplomb.
