[The clear sky has prompted James to take the opportunity to get outside, and so the young geneticist has found himself flopped down across a tree-branch with his back propped against the trunk. He's looking distinctly cat-like at the moment, his long feline tail is lazily hanging over the edge of the branch as he lies with his eyes closed savoring ( Read more... )

I assure you they are. All listed direct from the Periodic Table.. You might not know about them in your world.

I don't. Is this Periodic Table thing important?

Well... Yes and no.

It's mostly a system for cataloging the various substances that make up our world, and it's extremely useful for advanced sciences. However not knowing them isn't exactly going to kill you.

I see. So according to your science, the world is made up of things like...potassium?

What? But it's.. Oh nevermind.. for all I know your world could be made of something completely different. It's not likely but it's possible.

When I think of elements, I think of things like wind and water. If scientists decide to complicate things, it doesn't really matter much.

Well then don't think of them as elements. Think of them as particles that create elements.

Earth, Fire, Water, even the Wind is made up of little bits and pieces interacting with each other.
