Y'know, the rumour-mill's really gone crazy recently, thanks to the whole 'disappearing students' thing. The most ridiculous rumour I've heard so far was passed to Jen from some idiot not that Jen's not an idiot herself and involved the words 'interhouse' and 'orgy'. I will say no more, other than that all of this is thoroughly amusing me at least, when I'm not missing Sirius, the idiot.
I'm not looking for an explanation. What's the point? This is magic far beyond anything I can begin to understand yet. Besides, I'm kept busy enough as it is. Not that I've really been able to concentrate much recently. Stupid Sirius...
Wow, it's Christmas in twenty days' time. This term's really going quickly... I suppose I've just been so busy that it's flown by. I'm looking forward to the holidays though they'll be strange without Sirius. My dad sent me an owl yesterday-- the Christmas Eve Ministry party thing is all good to go, though they're thinking about changing the date to Boxing Day, which is probably sensible. Christmas Eve is a time for family after all, isn't it? No one's going to want to attend a Ministry function. Boxing Day would be better-- it's so boring anyway that I doubt many people will mind having an excuse to get out of the house, even if it is to go to a Ministry function. The good news (or bad news, depending on who you are, hah) is that my mother's decided I can attend after all. So this party thing should be interesting to say the least.
I should go-- I have Detention for something I did about a month ago that I can't actually remember, and then I have Quidditch practice.
