Went and visited TM and his wife K. They vacationed in the US in July. It was amusing, they think Walmart is AWESOME. Plus on the list of AWESOME American things: Krispy Kreme. Fun evening.
Just finished another short assignment in Hooftdorp (just South-South-West of Schiphol). So back at the my agency waiting for another assignment.
Saturday, Picked up a very short book on Stoicism (the Philosophy). From what I've read it seems to be a Western philosophy which holds many parallels to Buddhism and that interested me in the reading more about it. The book was really short and wetted my appetite to learn more, so I have a copy of Marcus Arrilius' Meditations on order at the American Book Center.
I also found ABC's used/discounted books section (its upstairs) and bought a couple of other books (and Deida book). I showed Tee the books and also my discount card, which she can get b/c of where she works, while I made my purchases. While the guy was going to get the form (for the card) Tee wound up buying the same Stocism book I got and different Deida book. When he came back, he did a double take of checking her out "Didn't you.... already pay for these????" Afterwards we had lunch and saw "Wall-E". Tee didn't know anything about it and asked me "Is it scary?" before the show.
