Sunday a lot of Yoga

I went to Yoga last week and the instructor announced they were doing a challenge. Basically they were going to have 5 classes on Sunday and wanted people to try and make as many classes in one day as possible. (One of the big schools in Ca had the same challenge , but with 8 classes).

For some strange reason I decided to take up the challenge. I wasn't planning on doing ALL 5, but just 3. (Basically every other one). I've found that I need to avoid eating for ~3 hours before the class as well. Which also meant that I basically fasted from 6 AM to 8 PM.

So I made class at 9 AM. I barely made the 2 PM class (they had alrady locked the door, but the head instructor was still in the lobby and let me in), and 6:30. (Previously I've done 2 classes in a day, but they were like 10 hours apart).

The first 2 classes were pretty difficult, the last one only about 7-9 people. (Normally on Sunday they don't have a 6:30 class, so it was only people doing the challenge). The fewer people in the room the lower the Humidity and (I think) the lower the temperature (though I'm pretty sure the thermostat was still set to 40°C/104°F). So the last class was actually fairly easy and I was able to push myself a little more. My balance is FINALLY improvfing and I can get/hold some of the one legged stands.

Afterwards we had took pictures (to mark the accomplishment) and had watermellon. Socially I think I strengthened some of my connections with others, though only small steps.
