(no subject)
What a great weekend!! Jake drove us most of the way to Lansing, which took about 5 hours. After checking into the motel of course the first thing we had to do was go to Beanners! $52 later we walked out...hey, it's Beanners, what can I say. Went to Fitzgerald to take pictures and was so very disappointed that everything we wrote the day of the funeral was painted over. There was a big "RIP Aaron West FLOW" so I got a few pictures with that.
Did you know that in order to go from Motel 6 to Johnny Rockets it takes 89 miles!! Heehee, only us country hicks could do something so silly. It was well worth it though to get to see Leah in her cute little uniform and get to eat a chili burger and chili cheese fries.
Church with Leah's family was great, I wish her parents and I would have had the opportunity to meet while Aar was still with it, they are such genuinly nice people...I see where Leah gets it from. We even got a loaf of bread at church which Ben and Jake ate when I wasn't looking.
Lunch was wonderful with 14 of us there. I didn't get near enough time with everyone though. There are a few that I would love to have sat down with one on one and talked to, but time just didn't permit it. I did get a few minutes alone with Ana and it was great.
The trip home was uneventful. Drive. Stop and pee. Drive. Stop and pee....
Planning to go to Detroit sometime before school is out. Jonathon has offered his apartment to us to stay in. Will be coming up in July for Aarons day.
Would love to have everyone come down for the chicken fry. I know, I know, it's a country thing, but you just haven't experianced life until you've been there!!
