Lost in them
I can’t help thinking of the Spike and Buffy relationship as a paradigm of intense , dramatic and beautiful love story that, at the same time alas, was never truly fulfilled and some days the yearning for fulfillment is overwhelming .
But there ‘s nothing like them and there never will be , other pairings in other stories leave me totally cold
I don’t see them, don’t need them , don’t want anything for them , don’t care what happens to them . Only Buffy and Spike and their suffering , their wildness , their fire
I guess my hands were burning with their hands and I had a moment of clarity that would last a lifetime and any interest or love for another fictional couple died, then.
I do spend a lot of my time living in the pages of the fictions I ‘ve read and enjoyed .
There are two characters wandering the fictional country created in my head , their passionate unfolding will never cease to be.
